Work Environment
A flooring project manager's workday is spent both in the field and in the office. She spends a significant amount of time on the phone keeping crews on schedule and customers up to date. She usually juggles multiple projects at once, and the pace is very fast.

Personality
A flooring project manager must possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills. She also needs to have a keen eye for detail and a respect for protocol--procedures need to be followed during project completion, and errors in this business can be costly. She needs to be comfortable with changes and adaptable.

Requirements
A high school diploma and two to five years of work experience are usually sufficient for obtaining a flooring project manager position.
