However in case of small water spills there are remedies that one could consider. Wipe with towel and soak out the moisture content trapped on the flooring. Ensure proper circulation in the room for drying. Possibly, a dehumidifier can be used if available easily. In the event of moisture seeping into the hardwood flooring beyond a certain level, then professional help will be needed to re-do the entire the entire flooring.
